In my last post I suggested that prayer is one of the four main ways by which we can maintain the in breaking ‘Queendom of God’ in our day-to-day lives.
Unfortunately prayer has been reinterpreted by our religious tradition as a spiritless duty, something we should do in order to keep the Divine happy. Strangely it’s the other way around. It’s one way that we can keep ourselves happy through experiencing the gift of freedom from our Divine Source .
As a young lad, raised in the religious heartland of Northern Ireland, I was regularly drilled in The Lord’s Prayer, the model prayer that Yeshua suggested his disciples use in their attempts to contact the Divine ‘Abba’. I, along with countless thousands of other Irish youngsters could rattle off this short prayer at the drop of a big black Bible.
In later years, as a high school teacher, I would cringe as the prayer was chanted aloud by hundreds of our pupils during morning religious assembly, in the same dreary rote way that generations of pupils had done before them; the funniest yet tragically sad part being the vocal launch of the first ‘Our Father….’ by my duty bound, unbelieving headmaster. Maybe no prayer in American schools isn’t such a bad thing after all!
Anyway, in this post I wish to consider Yeshua’s prayer from a mimetic or imitative desire perspective hopefully revealing previously hidden truths on the Divine Queendom and the practical benefits that spring from it. First, please allow me the metaphysical liberty of renaming the famous prayer as Yeshua’s Realignment Prayer; I think you’ll see why as we go along.
‘Our Father in the heavens’
The Abba god of Yeshua dwells in the transcendent realms of Reality. He’s therefore beyond human manipulation and our devious desire power plays. We cannot rival Him because He is Other. He acts as an external mediator of His own nature viz Unconditional Love. He authenticates us from a safe distance, one beyond our vampire like desire lust for an other’s being.
‘May your name be held holy’
The root meaning of the religious word holy is to be set apart for a special purpose. The name of God, no matter how we phrase it, is essentially his essence.The Divine nature cannot be contaminated by our efforts to fashion him in our own image, in other words our religious attempts to make Him a scapegoater. Rather the Father of Yeshua is the God of the scapegoats andnot that of the excluding scapegoaters; a vital lesson that the cultural religious mindset quickly forgets.
‘Your Queendom come’
This God realm, free of human desire attachment is given to us as a gift. It cannot be earned, not even through our zealous efforts to manifest it here on Earth.
‘Your will be done’
As we surrender our dysfunctional psychic desire centre to Divine Love we are realigned to operate in mimesis with its passionate desire or Will. We’ll now act as a spiritual router for the Divine nature, a transmitter of Spirit desire into this space-time desire matrix. Divine words and acts of Love will flow through us, revealing the new Queendom, the realm outside the skewed or warped imitation of human desire.
‘On earth as it is in the heavens’
Within the transcendent realms of Source no rivalry exists. ‘The Satan’ or ‘Adversary’, the personification of human desire rivalry and its scapegoating consequences operates only in the space-time realm of our ego consciousness. Within the Divine Holy of Holies, all created beings are in peaceful mimesis with Ultimate Desire. As we allow the Divine flow to manifest through itself our healed psyche a little colony of the Divine Queendom is established on Planet Earth.
‘Give us today the bread of tomorrow’
Once we have tasted Divine Love via the Presence of Spirit, our desire needs are realigned with the Divine supply. No longer do we need to fight for what we need or want, for all is given. The ego hunter gatherer can be given their dismissal notice in the corporation of our Being. The bread of tomorrow’s Divine Queendom, one that will eventually consume space-time is available for us today.
‘And forgive us our transgressions’
To transgress is to live outside the flow and influence of Divine Love by returning to the mimetic jungle of desire rivalry. Forgiveness is the default setting in the Divine nature. Our asking for forgiveness is more of an acknowledgement that we have temporarily and experientially stepped out of the Queendom. In other words, we’re letting the Divine Father/Mother know that we’re psychically stepping back into our home realm, the place of our life Source.
‘As we have forgiven those who have transgressed against us’
Once we have awakened to how the scapegoat mechanism operates, we can no longer make anyone the guilty party by asking for their psychic death sentence. As scapegoaters, our game motto was always it’s them or us. Now we see things clearly, wishing that all will awaken to the reality of Divine realignment. Only Divine Love can change the desire settings of our fellow travellers. Our role is no longer to condemn.
‘And do not put us to the test’
Keep us close to the magnetic mimetic field of Spirit. May we not wander into the gravitational pull of a model obstacle or monstrous double. May we not have to trip over a relational scandalon or stumbling block in order to realise that we’ve moved outside the desire centre of your Love.
‘But deliver us from the evil one’
Keep us from participating in the scapegoating mob of human culture, the ‘Adversary’ who constantly attempts to draw us back into the battle for metaphysical Being. Such a system of human relationships is indeed evil or more accurately, broken and unfit for purpose. We stand firm in our freedom from desire as we meet the personification of such a mindset in the rivalry of another.

So as we pray we tune into a divine mimesis both for ourselves and others. We open up the flood gates for Divine Love to draw us all into the Union of Spirit, the place of our birth and ultimately the Home of our Divine Rest. Much is going on behind the scenes of rational consciousness that we aren’t fully aware of ~ but some day up ahead all will become very clear!
